Coburg Dental Group is open during the COVID-19 pandemic and specifically open during the Melbourne COVID lockdowns. We comply with all government regulations to ensure the safety of our families, patients, staff and visitors.

During a lockdown period, if you’re in Coburg, Essendon, Fawkner, or Brunswick dental care is close by. Government regulations which determine the type of urgent treatment and how it is delivered, has changed over the course of the pandemic. During Melbourne Lockdown 6, we can provide services for anyone who is need of urgent treatment which includes people in pain, a broken tooth, a facial swelling, a swelling inside the mouth or a condition whereby if it was left for the duration of the lockdown would cause a significant deterioration of the condition and more extensive treatment.

During lockdown periods, we are not able to provide cosmetic services, elective treatments, or general check-ups with hygiene services. If you have an appointment with us in the near future, during a lockdown, our staff will contact you to reschedule your appointment if your planned treatment does not comply with the government guidelines. To ensure the safety of everyone, we undertake the most stringent of measures to maintain the highest level of care. We ask that you register with the QR code which is available at our front door and reception desk. Hand sanitizer is freely available throughout the clinic and face masks must be worn in all areas. Of-course, you are required to remove your face mask when you sit in the dental chair to receive your treatment. Please reschedule your appointment if you have flu-like symptoms including runny nose, sore throat, cough or sneezing, feeling unwell or are waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test. Thorough cleaning and deep cleaning when required, is undertaken in between each patient. All of our instruments are sterilized in accordance with the current Australian Standards and because of our strict quality control with all of our systems, Coburg Dental Group is a fully accredited dental practice.

Brunswick dental patients and others in surrounding suburbs can travel outside the 5km limited zone for travelling, to seek dental care during the lockdown periods.

During Lockdown 6, our office hours are 9.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Weekend and after-hours appointments are not available during the restrictions.
